Brendan Morris, CEO
A true entrepreneur, Brendan identified the opportunity for mobile simulators in training long before the hardware was ready to run it and over the last 10 years has successfully introduced mobile and app technology solutions to the rail industry. With over 20 years’ previous experience of launching and building high growth tech start-ups and senior management experience within the Telecommunications industry during the 90’s, Brendan has gathered a wealth of practical, hands-on experience of growing successful businesses, delivering a range of solutions that the industry wants.
Brendan works in partnership with all his customers. Both in his capacity as rail industry training expert and training solutions provider he has developed key customer relationships which have turned small pilot projects into significant repeat orders with customers such as London Underground, Hitachi Rail Europe, Great Western Rail, Alstom, Eurostar and Siemens Rail Automation. Brendan continues to contribute to and speak at industry led events.
Gordon Watson, Technical Director
As Technical Director, Gordon has full responsibility for developing the roadmap and architecture of 3DVSL’s full range of solutions. With one eye on market trends and the other on technological developments, Gordon brings a diverse range of skills and experience to each new training solution he creates. A former lecturer and researcher with Edinburgh University, Gordon has been at the forefront of advancements in computer graphics, virtual reality, computer vision and interactive technology for over 20 years, with many publications in the area worldwide. Gordon’s research interests focus on the problems of capturing highly realistic 3D models of the real-world and applications of those models to problems such as virtual training and entertainment. As Technical Director his continued development of 3D technology is enabling unprecedented advancements in interactive training. Gordon continues to contribute to and speak at industry led events.
Dr Paul Phillips, Lead Media & Software Engineer
Paul is our resident technology guru. With over 17 years’ experience in the development of 3D modelling simulations, media and software development Paul has delivered unrivalled content which has resulted in repeat business from world class customers. His understanding of customer processes, continual learning and attention to detail in the production of photorealistic 3D models and the end user experience make 3DVSL’s products unique.
Anna-Marie Taylor, Head of Marketing
With over 25 years’ experience in strategic and practical marketing for technology businesses, Anna-Marie brings insights and practical tools to help deliver a range of marketing, digital media and content channels for 3DVSL. Anna-Marie manages the 3DVSL brand and marketing channels including the web, social media, events, marketing collateral and client support material to help support the company’s full range of Rail Industry Training solutions.
